Our story begins with my grandmother Paula,
She isn’t just a dog owner; she is a passionate dog show competitor who trained several obedience champions. She knew the joys and challenges of life with pets, but severe arthritis in her hands made standard dog leads painful to use.
As her grandson, I watched those small struggles add up and decided to find a solution for her
Determined to find a better way, I set out to create leads that weren’t just strong and durable, but also effortless and comfortable, even for those with limited hand mobility.
What started as a simple idea “there has to be an easier way” turned into months of hands-on problem solving. Prototypes made, tested, and reworked. Walk after walk, adjusting every detail with Paula, giving real feedback.
If it wasn’t easy for her, it wasn’t good enough.
The goal was never to create just another dog lead. It was to give Paula her independence back.
That’s how the MAXXIE Quick Clip Lead was born.
