Arthritis can’t Stop Her Now!
For Paula, training dogs wasn’t just a hobby, it was her passion. Her weekends were spent at obedience trials, her weekdays fine tuning every sit, stay, and heel with her trio of Border Collies: Deejay, Dusty, and Ryder. She lived for the rhythm of training, the quiet connection between handler and dog, the thrill of the show ring.
But arthritis had other plans.
What started as a dull ache in her hands grew into something that disrupted everything. Simple tasks like clipping a lead became a battle. Her fingers didn’t work the way they used to. Every time she struggled to attach a lead, it chipped away at her confidence.
She tried bulky clips meant for gear twice the size, just to get some leverage, even used both hands, but they were still awkward to hold open and connect. By the time she leashed up all 3 dogs, her energy was already drained. Physically, it hurt. Mentally, it wore her down.
Then we created the MAXXIE Quick Clip Lead.
The moment she tried it, something clicked - literally! The stay-open, push-to-close clip meant she could prep it with one hand, no force needed. It latched quickly and securely. No pain. No delay. No distractions.
With MAXXIE, the hardest part of training became effortless.
Now Paula's back in the groove, working with her dogs the way she always has. The MAXXIE lead doesn’t just make life easier, it helps her stay in the game she loves.
If you, or someone you know struggles, with the small and tedious traditional dog lead clips, then give MAXXIE ago. Paula can’t recommend them enough!
