The Pawla Training Lead was created with dog competitions in mind. Its short length with 15mm webbing allows handlers to maintain close control while enabling quick attachment and removal during ring entry and exit.

Because the lead is lightweight and compact, it can easily be stored in your pocket, helping maintain a cleaner appearance and smoother performance during competitions.

At 700mm long, the Pawla Lead is also particularly well suited to smaller dogs, offering better proportion, lighter handling, and improved comfort during training or daily walks. It is our preferred lead for smaller breads.

  • The Pawla Dog Training Lead was inspired our by Grandmother, Paula, a passionate dog handler who competes in dog obedience shows. Living with arthritis, she needed a lead that was easier to handle and quicker to attach and remove when entering and exiting the show ring.

    Working closely with her experience and the feedback of other competitors, we developed a lead designed specifically for the needs of show and training environments. Many competitors modify standard leads to achieve the right length and handling. The Pawla Dog Training Lead was created to provide a purpose-built solution straight out of the box.

    The lead features the signature MAXXIE Quick Clip, allowing for fast attachment and removal when entering or exiting the show ring. Its 700mm length keeps the lead compact and easy to manage, while also allowing it to be stored conveniently in your pocket so handlers can have both hands free when giving commands.

    The Pawla Dog Training Lead has also become one of our preferred leads for smaller dogs, including breeds such as Toy Poodles. The slimmer webbing and shorter length offer better balance, lighter handling, and improved comfort compared to a full-length lead like the MAXXIE Quick Clip Lead.

  • Dog show competitors often modify standard leads to achieve the right length and handling required for the ring. The Pawla Dog Training Lead was developed to provide a refined, purpose-built option that meets those needs without modification.

    With its compact size, lightweight design, and fast MAXXIE Quick Clip attachment system, it offers handlers a practical solution for smooth ring entry, quick lead removal, and confident control during training.

    • Hand wash gently in cold water with mild soap to preserve the nylon colour and prevent fading. Leave to dry out from direct sun.

    • Painted hardware may wear with frequent use. Rinse in fresh water if exposed to salt water.
